This Christmas postcard came from Poland! These are Christmas and New Year’s greetings, with the Church of St. Catherine of Alexandria in the background there. This church – not to be confused with St. Catherine’s Church (one that’s existed since the 14th century) – is located in the town of Golub-Dobrzyń, found in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship in mid-northern Poland (ahh, “Voivodeship”… that’s a word I haven’t used in a while!) There isn’t much that I can find on the history of it, except that it’s been around since the beginning of the 20th century. But hey, it was lovely to receive these here holiday wishes! Thank you Magdalena for always being so generous!
